Hello all,
I've been told how little I'm doing lately so I thought I would spend some time with a few things.

First, as I'm watching "Around the Horn" and "PTI," Ernie Els' three-year plan to catch Tiger Woods is pretty much being ridiculed. I don't know why. When it comes to talent, Woods is Els' only peer. Considering the World Rankings are based on two-year cycles, why not plan three years in advance? Also, it's not like Els can just catch Woods by New Year's Day. It takes time, so give him a break.

Secondly, Michelle Wie is going to Stanford. I think this is an extremely personal decision for her to make. I loved college for the experience, friendships, beer and 60-pound weight gain. If she wants to do that, fine, although I don't recommend the weight gain because my back has never been the same. But, I was not a world-class golfer when I attended La Salle University, so I don't know what decision I would make in her spot.

Finally, for the new year I am going to update this thing every Wednesday with my pick for that week's PGA Tour event. I'll be doing it like my column last year in that I can only use a player once. Last year, I had one winner for 50 weeks, so I'm pretty awful at it, but I shall try again.

Happy Holidays
